iv bought a fiat punto 1.2 as i am doing my lessons, i want to insure my car so i can go out with my dad but does the insurance always go up after i pass? my friend paid £1200 and shes just passed and they want another £2000 off her. help?

The reason it can go up by so much is that you’re a new driver on the road, you’ll more than likely be driving unsupervised, and your inexperience renders you statistically more likely to have an accident. You’ll have learned to pass your test, but you won’t have learned how to be a good driver yet, which takes a few years of experience.
