Car Insurance?

I got a new car (2001 Toyota Corolla, 90k) to replace my old car, (1995 Honda Civic, 123k) and my insurance company tells me that my premier will go up by 5. Is that a fair increase in the value, or is it too expensive?
I already had a full coverage, so it is just "change of vehicle".

If you are talking about your premium not premier it doesn’t seem to bad. However, if it is a monthly premium then the rate increase is quite expensive. To be honest, the insurance company shouldn’t charge anything in my opinion for the cars. The Honda is not worth a whole lot less and the Toyota is a very safe practical car. You should consider looking at more quotes to see if your rate can improve. Also, ask your insurance company if you qualify for any discounts such as good driving, safety equipment, security devices and more. A defensive driving course can save you up to 10% from some insurance companies. Take a look at your coverages and make sure the agent didn’t change them without your knowledge. Sometimes an agent can forget to offer discounts or assume coverages you might not need. This seems to happen more to customers upgrading their policy. Many agents assume that customers are going to stick with them regardless of the price increase. Where a new customer may get the bottom line quote to give the agent a good chance at getting the business.
You can always check around for prices on car insurance. The Toyota corolla is also a car that is stolen more often. So this is why the cost is higher and the cars value is higher. SO it maybe in line.
depends…did you go from liability only to full coverage? is that increase over the policy period or per month? if you are replacing liability with full coverage thats decent. if its over the entire policy period, its ok.
I guess $125 increace is to expensive. I pay just $80 per month for my 2003 Corolla.
